K. K. K. So me and a group of friends (my sister, Nithak, and Nithak's cousin) got all dressed up as characters from Anime, and we went to the Anime con reletively nearby. (I was L of Death Note.)

WHEN we got there, only a few seconds after we were all signed up and stuff, my mom found out about a DDR tournament that would be starting REALLY soon, and wanted to know if I wanted to join. I'm chronically shy, so I was all "Meh, sure, maybe."

So I signed up with about eight other people, and we did our thing. There were a few other cosplayers there, too. Baisically, what it is is you have the players pick one song each, and if it's a tie, the judges picked one for you to for the third song. Around halfway through the tournament, my costume was finally actually recognized, cuz it kinda passes for street clothes. The girl was all, "Can I have a hug? " and I said "Uhhh, sure. 83;"

Anyway, the tournament was awesome. The rest of the group went to watch the cosplay chess (see Nithak's journal for more info). It came down to me and another chick with REALLY bright red hair. I picked a song I was familliar with, and she picked Daikenai (which almost killed me ). It was a tie, so the judge picked one really fast one that neither of us knew. LUCKILY FOR ME, I'm -really- good at reading the notes in new songs, and so. I WON.

I was spaztically happy. 8333 About that time, the rest of the group came back down from the cosplay chess, and we kinda celebrated. First prize was an SNES game system and a couple of games for it, which is AWESOME. x3 But the box was too big to just carry around, so my mom bought me this cool bag to put my stuff in.

Unfourtunately, I didn't have much spending money. But that was OK, cuz the only thing I got was the only thing I really wanted. (it was a necklace in the style of Roxas'. 83)

PLUS, THE OTHER COSPLAYS. Ohhhh my. There were some pretty incredible ones. I saw, like, five Zeldas, all done well. Plus three Links, one of which we got pictures of. AND THEN, juuust WALKING PAST, was a pair of cosplayers dressed as SPIKE AND FAYE of Cowboy Bebop. I immediately pointed them out to my mom, who squealed like a fangirl half her age and asked for pictures. XD They posed together, and it was awesome.

Then, Nithak finally tracked down a cosplayer she kept seeing and missing the chance for pictures with. It was Maka (from Soul Eater) with a gigantic scythe, which was just magnificent.

Then, at the end, we all went and saw Vic Mignogna, who voices Edward Elric. He's really funny, and sweet, to. There was a Q&A, and he was (mostly) not shy about telling embarassing stories, and singing in front of everyone. He also showed a couple of videos. My sister and mother were both totally fangirling through the whole thing. XD

I also learned something new during the con--my sister makes a really good Allen Walker (D.Grayman) somehow. She was pretty much constantly in character without meaning to be. XD

It was awesome. Definetely something I wanna do again. 83
